Because I'm back!

Hey world, remember me?! I've been REALLY busy over Christmas vacation. We travelled all over the midwest and go to see so many people we love. So, while I am recuperating from our travels and planning out my 2016 I thought I'd do a little photo drop for you! Here's what we've been up to.

We made the cutest little salt dough ornaments with my niece. She wasn't really sure about sticking her hand in the dough, but she did! Then I baked, painted, and glittered. It was fun! Here's the recipe we used.

I seriously couldn't believe how much she has grown since I last saw her. She is WALKING!? She's adorable, and she's a rotten little princess. Just like her Aunt KK.

Of course every year my mom buys us all new Christmas jammies to wear while we wait for Santa. Hadley's were of course the cutest! And I bet you're wondering why these are the only Christmas jammie pics I have. Well that's because the rest of my family was too cool to participate. Don't worry Hadley, Aunt KK will never be too cool. :)

Then we got to have a "Very Madrigal Christmas day" with our cousins and extended family. There's never a dull moment when we all get together!

We got to puppy sit for our best friend until Santa picked up the sweet little babe to deliver on Christmas morning. If this isn't the cutest face I've ever seen I just don't know what is. Plus being a part of a little girl's Christmas surprise makes your heart tingle just a little!

I got to spend a couple awesome nights with my closest friends watching movies and hanging out. Don't kill me, but this picture seriously makes me laugh every time I look at it.

And here we are. I have a ton of other pictures I could've shared, but we don't want to be here all day on NYE 2015 do we?! Here we are, rounding out Christmas and flying back to sunny and STIFLING hot Florida.

Going north is my favorite Christmas tradition (besides the Christmas Eve Jammies of course). I will never be able to spend this holiday away from my family and best friends. Even though I'm 1,000 miles away, these people will always be my most important.

Have a safe and happy NYE, and stay tuned I will be back tomorrow with a special edition of 5 on Friday.

Finally getting back to my 5 on Friday! This week I'm in the holiday spirit and wanted to share with you guys- 5 things that have made me happy this week.

5. My boss declared next week to be jeans week right before the holidays. I know I've told you how I feel about jeans day before, but really...jeans days are everything.

4. Frances brought me cuban coffee. You haven't had the magical drink that is cuban coffee? You are missing out! Pretty sure I could run a marathon after drinking it.

3. I opened an early Christmas present and got a zebra print mac cover. Mr. L is pretty terrific. Even though I picked it out. It's still the thought that counts!

2. Being able to wear boots again. The cooler weather didn't come in November like it usually does, so it was a little sketchy to wear boots until recently. Now I'm all over it. I LOVE boots. Anyone who wants to share good websites to purchase them will be loved for eternity!

1. The fact that we now have an Elf on the Shelf. Meet Waffles. I'm sure Mr. L won't agree, but I personally think I'm better at creating things for Waffles to do. See.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and have a relaxing weekend!
Check out all the other great Friday 5's!

Because Joy Right?

Uhhh so I haven't felt very joyous lately, so in the spirit of Christmas and Jesus' Birthday I'm going to tell you about the 10 things I want to do this holiday season. Besides see all the people I love, because that's so obvious!

Not in order because they're all great ideas so they all tied.

Watch ABC Family. Because. The Santa Clause. Scott Calvin, Santa Clause?!? Did anyone realize Tim Allen is 62 years old? I was a loyal Home Improvement-er back in the day.

Make a gingerbread house. And pray that I don't have to use real adhesive...this time.

Watch church online while I'm in Indiana. Try it out! I love it!

See snow. I don't think it snowed when I was home for Christmas last year. I wouldn't mind getting Mr. L with a snowball!

Drink seasonal wine. Lanthier Winery.

Get an Elf on the Shelf. Is that weird?

Wear my Uggs. Just for a few days, and only in Indiana. Don't worry, I don't wear Uggs in Florida.

Go to the Louisville Mega Caverns. Holy sensory overload!

Make these pecan pies at least one more time. SO good. I made the crust from the recipe last year and it was delicious...but I got a little lazy this year.

And lastly, which I think we can all agree is probably the most important anyway...
Drink champagne in my Christmas jammies.

I think that means I should online shop for some new Christmas jammies! Score!
